GUYANA, August - September, 2010
Familiarization Tour
Arriving at the end of what was reported to be one of the wettest and most protracted wet seasons in Guyana's history, our birding was impeded by washed out roads as well as relatively low numbers of birds due to flooded conditions. Although we observed only 188 species during our 10-day trip, many of those seen were life birds for us, species that can only be seen in a small area of northern South America.
