06 Dec Pangot – Corbett National Park
After breakfast, drive to Corbett National Park birding en route at Corbett Falls. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Corbett Tiger Reserve has spectacular avifauna diversity. A rich mix of forest, riverine and mountain species are sighted here all year round, although winter months are especially good for migratory birds. Brown Dipper, Wallcreeper, several species of Forktails (the Spotted and Little Forktail being the most common), Plumbous and White-capped Water Redstarts and several species of Wagtails are the altitudinal migrants you can see. The rich river habitat attracts Pallas's and the Lesser Grey-headed Fish Eagle at dusk. The Brown Fish Owl is more frequently heard than seen. Great Hornbill, Red-collared Falconet, Jungle Owlet, Scaly-bellied Woodpecker, Red-breasted Parakeet, Himalayan Swiftlet, Stork-billed and Crested Kingfishers, and White-tailed and Siberian Rubythroats are but a few of the birds we are likely to spot here.

07 Dec Corbett National Park
If we are able to procure some of the limited lodging in Dhikala Forest Lodge, we will drive to the Dhangarhi Gate to enter the Dhikala Tourism Zone of Corbett National Park. If lodging is not available, we will continue to bird and explore other areas of the park.
If we enter the Dhikala area, we will first visit the Interpretive Center and then take a jeep safari through the stately dense Sal Jungle, accompanied by an expert guide. The lower jungle track along the Ramganga River offers great opportunities for viewing wildlife, especially tigers in their natural habitat. Birding here is also rewarding with water birds such as River Lapwings and a variety of waders and waterfowl. We'll cross the river at Gethia Rao Bridge for the Kanda Range, where Jim Corbett shot the famous Kanda Man-eater. We'll arrive at the main tourist complex, Dhikala, in time for lunch. After a bit of mid-day relaxation in the serene surroundings of our lodge, we'll go birding in the nearby grasslands and forested area later in the afternoon, where we hope to encounter Long-tailed Nightjar, Jungle wlet, Spot-bellied Owl, Common Stonechaat, Black Francolin, Purple Sunbird, Crimson sunbird, Golden-fronted Leafbird, Orange-bellied Leafbird, Black-shouldered Kite, Hen Harrier, Changeable Hawk-Eagle, Chestnut-tailed Starling, and many more.

Some target bird species for today include Slaty Woodpecker, Great Hornbill, Puff-throated Babbler, White-rumped Shama, among many more.
